The company failed to implement basic industrial safety standards and a disastrous explosion and release of oil resulted. It didn't seem to be anyones fault and there were no penalties enforced against the company. They then lied repeatedly to the Commission and were generally uncooperative with enquiries. Instead of stiff penalties and bans from Australian waters, they are rewarded with more licences!

Just imagine if the average person like you or me did a fraction of this damage to property and the environment. We would be in so much trouble we'd probably end up in the slammer for years, yet somehow these resource companies can get away with absolutely anything.

Mr Ferguson, your bosses, the people of Australia, want a lot better than this. You are a long way off the pace mate.Mistybluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01188710004152844377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6601355103716900050.post-87254271847545917392011-03-03T20:31:26.079+08:002011-03-03T20:31:26.079+08:00Oh YayOh YayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6601355103716900050.post-49823486377576928042011-03-03T16:45:44.119+08:002011-03-03T16:45:44.119+08:00Well, you know what they say
