A MAJOR national bank has been forced to remove more than 100 misleading out of order signs from its ATMs after being targeted by anti-coal activists.
A score of ANZ Banking Group machines sprawled across six capital cities were plastered with "out of order" signs on Sunday after campaigners launched their latest bid to draw attention to the bank's funding of the coal industry.

ReplyDeleteAs the people who want to develop this gas precinct continue to shave the truth from the square peg to get it to fit in the round hole, the morality of developers and bent councils is being dramatically highlighted by the Queensland flood disaster. They really don't give a shit about anyone or anything, other than money.

ReplyDeleteAnd as for rolling the dice and playing with peoples lives,it's sinking in that one or two tropical depressions in the next month or two could see Wivenhoe overwhelmed. If it overflows it will collapse,as it is an embankment dam. With the state of current infrastructure, and I hate to say this, but there could be a hell of a lot of people caught like rats in a trap.As the poison emissions will spell doom for many so a few can get rich,so it will be for all the poor people who were conned into building on or near flood plains.
ReplyDeleteI bet all the covered up reports on risk are being furiously pored over by Bligh and Taylor.Gonna be a long 3 months, just like Montara and the Gulf. And what outcome?

ReplyDeleteCheck out the blog below from 2006 about jatropha
a plant that has the potential as a sustainable biofuel which grows in India and Africa and would have thrived in good old WA had it not been for a total ban jatropha.
Prees the fruit from this tree and you get pure bio oils.
Well we would not need LNG if this was to become an industry .These trees could thrive next to a gubinge tree and make indigenous communities +viable or sustanable"Now we wouldnt want that now would we.
Whom do you reckon campaigned the Wa govt to a ban.talk about stealth...oh by the way when did Voelte arrive at Woodsides helm?these buggers have been stitchin us up by stealth for quite a number of years now. http://www.biofuelsforum.com/australian_biodiesel_industry_forum/404-wa_government_bans_jatropha_cultivation-2.html
well roll on the royal commission.this is going to be as rotten an expose as anything has ever been.i believe the way this is going there will be one.still get the feeling a lot of people don't get the awful reality of this gas plant.maybe this year we can have realistic models and pictures.would be a huge wake up for many, even people who think they can imagine it.
