Woodside's Water Licenses are illegal at James Price Point. No Cultural Heritage clearances, as required under the Act, were obtain either through KLC or the Goolarabooloo/Jabirr Jabirr Claimants.
Woodside have a very bad habit of telling stakeholders conflicting information. They tell the Broome Shire one thing about the number of bores they wish to establish in Country. They tell the Kimberley Land Council another amount, they request licenses from the Department of Water for a considerable amount more and go on to tell the Broome Community something entirely different or nothing at all.
WaterWoodside CEO, Peter Coleman's unannounced visit to James Price Point on Friday November 18, 2011.
Please note that there are no Cultural Guides with this party and they have just been walking in Registered Cultural Heritage Sites.
Why did Woodside deny that Coleman was in Broome when questioned by local media? To scared to face the Broome Community? To scared to enter Country? Or to ashamed to face the facts that Culture is still strong in Lurrujarri.
