A MAJOR national bank has been forced to remove more than 100 misleading out of order signs from its ATMs after being targeted by anti-coal activists.
A MAJOR national bank has been forced to remove more than 100 misleading out of order signs from its ATMs after being targeted by anti-coal activists.
A score of ANZ Banking Group machines sprawled across six capital cities were plastered with "out of order" signs on Sunday after campaigners launched their latest bid to draw attention to the bank's funding of the coal industry.

ReplyDeleteHong Kong is 67th in the world for emissions.If that is for 1 gas plant,then Barnetts dream of 3 or more gas plants at JPP,would put JPP about 33rd or above in the world for Carbon Dioxide emissions.The United Arab Emirates is 33rd.It stands to reason then,for anyone who has any,this project will collapse under its own weight.New Zealand is looking greener every day.Even carbon capture couldn't save this mad idea.Either it is doomed,or the people of Broome and the Dampier Peninsular are doomed.Never mind Oprah,only James Bond could save us from this total madness.

ReplyDeleteThe Global Statement of Concern gives us more hope our children and grand childrens health will not have to be sacrificed so these few people can get rich.Without this pollution nightmare hanging over us there will be some hope of a decent future for all of them that grow up here.A great effort by all who bought this about.A Happy Xmas to all of you.

ReplyDeleteThe floods in the Gascoyne have been caused by a rare monsoonal trough usually seen on the sub continent.This comes as no surprise to anyone who has followed the progression of Climate Change.It is only a matter of time before another event occurs further south,where the rivers break their banks at 100mil of rain.Meanwhile this trough extends across the continent,over the NT near Alice,and across Southern Queensland.We are only just past mid December,with the more intense stuff to come.As this trend increases so the B.O.M. will have to change their models to take into account what is truly happening.Lets make no mistake it is happening way faster than the worst of the models ever predicted.Given this scenario,who in their right minds would consider dumping another couple of billion tonnes of greenhouse gas into the atmosphere from the Browse Basin a good idea.Events continue to conspire against this abomination,and can only continue to do so.

WHO DID THE GOVERMENT POWERS ANNOINT.
TO DESTROY THE BEAUTY OF JAMES PRICE POINT.

THIS COUNTRY IS SPECIAL TO US THE COLOURED MAN.
YOU CAN ONLY KEEP ON TAKING SO MUCH FROM US.
THAT IS WHY WE ARE NOW STANDING UP CREATING A FUSS. WE HAVE TO LEAVE SOMETHING FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
INSTEAD OF ALL OF THIS INDUSTRIAL INFESTATION.
THERE ARE SOME OF USTHAT WILL TRY TO GIVE IT AWAY. WHAT ABOUT YOUR ANCESTORS WHAT WOULD THEY SAY.
TO PROTECT THIS WORLD WE WILL ALL HAVE TO FIGHT.
THAT MEANS BLACK ,WHITE AND BRINDLE WILL ALL HAVE TO UNITE.
THERE ARE SOME OF US THAT ARE WILLING TO BE KILLED .
IT IS NOT LIKE NO BLACK BLOOD HAS EVER BEEN SPILLED.
DO YOU NOT HAVE ENOUGH IN THE BANK.
WHEN EVERYTHING IS GONE WHO DO WE THANK.
STATION PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SHOT OUT OUR TRADITIONAL FOOD.
WAKE UP BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE IT ALL IF THEY COULD.
MOTHEREARTH IS GIVING US SOME SERIOUS SIGNS.
HAS ALL THIS GREED AND POWER DESTOYED YOUR MINDS.
I REALLY HOPE THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE IS ONE DAY PROTECTED.
AND MAY NO MORE MINES AND GAS PLANTS BE DETECTED.
I ASK YOU'S TO PLEASE STOP DESTROYING OUR HOME.
