  1. The Huffington Post,April 30,2010."Halliburton may be culprit in oil rig explosion"...."Last year Halliburton was also implicated for its cementing work prior to a massive blowout off the coast of Australia"....."The problem with the cement job was one of the root causes of the Australian blowout"....They have been sent a very strong letter from the enquiry set up to investigate the gulf spill.

  2. Unlike the Oz spill we don't see Obama handing out permits left right and centre to these criminals.Fergusson should have put all that on hold until the results of the Montara investigation were complete.

  3. the web is full of blame for dick cheney this morning.when him and bush were in the whitehouse they did away with a lot of safeguards so that companies like halliburton could do whatever they liked.apart from the montara and gulf spills there have been numerous accidents in the u.s. and elsewhere that have been covered up with the help of u.s. courts put there by bush/cheney.they are also responsible for polluting water tables with a gas drilling/extracting process known as "fracking". these people are so far above the law they can and do get away with rape, murder and torture.will the montara report dare to bring them into line?i doubt it very much.

  4. The Gulf spill is also following the Kimberley spill in the way oil and gas companies like to play down spill estimates.Start of the week 1000 barrels,Thursday 5000 barrels,Friday 6000 barrels a day.Saturday from latest size of spill images 25000 barrels a day.And 90 days to drill a relief well!

  5. Geoscience Australia and others have said it's not if but when a Tsunami hits the North West coast of Australia.F.E.S.A. recently held workshops across the N.W. to prepare for this.As this is being taken so seriously, how come Woodside,P.T.T.E.P.,and partners are going to build their giant oil and gas production rig astride Scott Reef?Surely they should be made to put it in deep water to avoid the Tsunami impact? It would be foolish to rely on blow-out protectors to save us from disaster. And Voelte made the stupid statement that floating L.N.G. is not suitable for the Kimberley because of cyclones.Where the hell does he think Cyclone Tracy came from?Do these people really think we are that stupid we don't know where East Timor is?

  6. Latest from N.O.A.A. Saturday A.M. "the oil flow could grow from the current estimate of 5000 barrels a day to 10 times that much, which could be 2.1 million gallons a day.As the Exxon Valdez spill was 11 million gallons,I guess we could pass it any time soon.Holy Shit!!Those poor bastards!
