  7. 39 million tonnes per annum!!!And coming from the pro gas State and Federal governments,this figure will no doubt be revised upwards.So we leave New Zealand behind,and move up the scale.If JPP were to proceed it would now emit the same amount of greenhouse gas as Hong Kong!Hong Kong,1,092 sq.klms.,poulation over 7 million.An economy bigger than Israel or the Czech Republic.It's port 2nd only to New York and Rotterdam in container traffic.And all this pouring out into our atmosphere from our little old JPP!
