Coal Seam Gas development angers opponents | Video & TV News Clips | SBS World News:
 The federal government has approved stage one of a major Coal Seam Gas development near Newcastle in New South Wales. Opponents of coal seam gas have reacted with anger. Further north, applications to prospect are still being considered. In the Northern Rivers region, activists are gearing up for a fight with an opponent many didn't expect. The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council wants to prospect for gas in the area.

  1. Howes and the AMWU are backing all out fracking to try a "US style" revival of Australian manufacturing,based on cheap gas,after the mining boom and high dollar nearly killed it.
